Bill Syrros, Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer

Bill leads and establishes the company's vision and overall corporate strategy. Bill has played a strategic role in establishing and implementing the company's mission and defining its core business direction. Bill understands client and business requirements and sets a benchmark of achievement: competitive, flexible, cutting-edge technology and customer-oriented solutions. In addition to his other responsibilities, Bill oversees the sales force and marketing team efforts and initiatives.

Prior to Lixar, Bill honed his communications skills serving various political positions in Canadian and US governments both federally and municipally. An alumnus of the University of Ottawa, Bill holds a double concentration in Political Science and Criminology. Further education in e-business Web Development from Algonquin College has also proved beneficial to his role in the company. Bill also serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors to the Canadian Ski Marathon.

Emmanuel Florakas - Co-Founder, President and CFO

Emmanuel has played a leadership role in corporate strategy, business development and shaping the evolution of Lixar's growth since inception in 2000. Emmanuel has also played a key role in ensuring Lixar is fiscally responsible and financially viable, driving and sustaining Lixar as a profitable business operation.

Prior to Lixar, Emmanuel held various positions with the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC), a federal government export agency. As senior project manager he worked with notable organizations including Magellan Aerospace and General Motors. The opportunity at CCC afforded him the ability to work on complex business negotiations in diverse business environments.

Emmanuel holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Ottawa and has completed his Masters in International Business.

Leroy Wissing - Co-founder

Managing Lixar's fastest growing unit, Leroy is responsible for ensuring that our enterprise team has the best possible support and direction. Enterprise-scale deployments are guided by Leroy's vast and intricate knowledge of leading-edge technology, industry standards and real-time professional response. As a developer himself, Leroy prides himself on the highest product development, innovative approaches and best-practice quality assurance.

Leroy has a suite of web-related expertise from his work experiences at Corel and Rebel.com. As an alumnus of McMaster University, Leroy integrates technical, analytical and scientific skills and studies together to develop multidimensional approaches to business solutions.

Michael Sherwin, Partner, Manager - Creative Services

Michael is the creative mind behind Lixar's creative energy and design inspiration. With a critical eye to non-verbal imagery, Michael works to ensure that the most subtle detail is perfected and introduced in a meaningful and purposeful way. Michael leads a dynamic design team who routinely strive to take design to a whole new level.

With a formal education in fine art, Michael brings over 20 years of experience working in visual arts and graphic design. Michael is also a talented local canvas painter and wood-worker.
